Wildlife Volunteering

Do you want to work with and care for some of the most beautiful creatures on this planet? Then volunteering on one of The Mighty Roar’s wildlife projects is the perfect place to start.

You can choose to work with big cats, turtles, elephants, monkeys, penguins or with a variety of marine life, aiding in their conservation and wellbeing, improving their quality of life and ensuring the animal’s welfare – an incredibly worthwhile cause.

We offer wildlife conservation projects in a number of countries and continents across the globe, so whether you are looking to head to the big 5 in Africa, release baby turtles in Sri Lanka or encounter whales and dolphins in the Azores, you can have the opportunity to explore this amazing world of ours at the same time as looking after some of its smallest or largest inhabitants.

Ethical Conservation

All of our volunteering placements offer hands on experience. On some programmes this may mean getting to interact with the animals directly, and on others this may mean seeing these stunning creatures up close but at a very safe distance in their natural habitat.

We are really passionate about ethical conservation, so you can be sure that all of our projects only offer true conservation practices to make a positive impact on protecting these amazing animals.

Reviews

Having volunteered across two countries with The Mighty Roar I can honestly recommend them to everyone and anyone! I was a bit nervous travelling for the first time by myself, but the team put my mind at ease and were so helpful with everything before I took off. The local team in Bali were amazing and I could not have wished for a better experience.

I always knew that I wanted to travel a lot, so as soon as I turned 16 I was off! At the end of 2017 I volunteered in Sri Lanka for an incredible 4 weeks teaching in the local community run school. My time here has taught me so much and I can highly recommend Chris and The Mighty Roar and will 100% using them again next year.

My son and daughter volunteered with The Mighty Roar, each at a different location. I cannot praise them enough for all of their time and support they gave us. They both had the best time and have not stopped telling me wonderful stories. Am 100% sure that travelling has had a positive impact in their lives, especially as they are both under 18.

It’s a big step letting your youngest daughter head off around the world on her own. At first I had a few concerns but after talking over the phone and by email with The Mighty Roar my mind was put at rest. All questions were answered truthfully and quickly and I even got a few texts to let me know my daughter was enjoying herself while she was in Sri Lanka. Have recommended them to lots of my friends!
